Cavusgil receives AMA's 2005 Global Marketing Research Award

S. Tamer Cavusgil, The John William Byington Endowed Chair in Global Marketing, has been awarded the Significant Contributions to Global Marketing Research Award presented by the American Marketing Association Global Marketing Special Interest Group. The award recognizes the contributions of marketing faculty members who have contributed significantly to the advancement of global marketing thought during their careers. Cavusgil, who is the executive director of MSU-CIBER and a university distinguished professor, specializes in international marketing strategy, early internationalization, and emerging markets. He is the author of several books, more than 100 refereed articles and several computeraided diagnostic tools for managers, including CORE V, (COmpany Readiness to Export). He served as the inaugural editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Marketing, published by the American Marketing Association. Cavusgil is the associate editor-in-chief, Journal of International Business Studies, and editor of the Elsevier book series, Advances in International Marketing.
