Publish Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2006

According to a study by faculty at the University of Florida, the Broad School's Management faculty place in the top five in the nation in terms of research output. The study counted published articles in the top eight management journals during 2004-2005. The universities were chosen for analysis based on whether they are members of the Association of American Universities (AAU). The AAU represents the 62 most prominent research universities in North America. The top five also included Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) along with Michigan State (Broad). Michigan State was the only Big Ten university in the top five. "We're very pleased with this placement," says Management Department Chairman Don Conlon. "It proves that our hard work is being recognized in the field. We are in the process of hiring three additional faculty members, so our future productivity should look even better."
