The Broad School’s outreach initiatives include: its co-sponsorship with MSU-CIBER of The Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan, the International Business College and its deployment of globalEDGE™, and the Academy for International Business.

International Business Institute for Community College Faculty

MSU CIBER, in conjunction with CIBERs from across the U.S., presents this unique professional development program designed specifically for community and technical college faculty. Since 1997, the biennial conference has given participants the opportunity to explore new ways of incorporating international components into their curricula as well as network with peers from across the nation.

Advanced International Business Institute for Community College Faculty

Previous attendees of the International Business Institute for Community College Faculty will be interested in this continuing development program. The inaugural program was held in 2008, welcoming attendees from across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada, discussing an array of topics related to classroom tools and course development, developing and maintaining international business programs, and best practices in international business integration .

globalEDGE™ Diagnostics Tools comprise a suite of diagnostic and decision support Web-based software, developed by an experienced team of researchers at MSU-CIBER, to help businesses better compete in today’s global marketplace. These tools offer guidance, complete with descriptive graphics, charts, and business recommendations tailored to your personal inputs and needs.

International Business Center

The International Business Center plays an integral part in the Broad School’s outreach efforts and offers training and education programs for business professionals, researchers, teachers and students. It is home to MSU-CIBER, CIBERweb, the Academy of International Business, and the Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan. IBC is the developer of globalEDGE, the world’s leading online resource for international business information.

IBC is designated as a National Resource Center by the U.S. Department of Education. The Center engages in more than 60 projects annually, including providing leadership of the College's study abroad programs and its undergraduate IB Specialization. http://CIBER.msu.edu

The Centers for International Business Education and Research were created by U.S. Congress to increase American firms' international competitiveness. Developed by MSU-CIBER, CIBERweb is the "web hub" for all thirty one CIBERs. http://CIBERweb.msu.edu

Established in 1959, AIB has 3598 members in 86 countries. It is the leading association of scholars and specialists in international business. The headquarters of AIB is housed in the MSU International Business Center. http://AIB.msu.edu

Since 1990, the GB Club has supported global business growth in Michigan. The MSU International Business Center is its organizer. The primary activity of the GB Club is the luncheon speaker series open to the general public. http://GBClub.msu.edu
