Midwest Academy of International Business Holds Annual Conference Dr. Stewart Miller serves as chair of the Midwest Academy of International Business (MAIB). Dr. Miller organized the MAIB’s annual conference (“Business in the 21st Century and Beyond”) which was held in Chicago, Illinois from March 1-3. The conference, which is part of the Midwest Business Adminstration Association annual meeting, brought together scholars from across the United States, as well as several from Europe to present research and discuss contemporary international business issues.The best paper award was given to Gary Insch of Boston University and John Daniels of the University of Miami, Florida for their paper entitled, “External Environment Evolution: Explaining the Decrease in Early Departure from Foreign Assignments.” The 2001 MAIB annual conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois.
