The 2nd annual FDIB-Africa program, to be conducted in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia, will combine over two dozen business visits, cultural experiences, and academic visits and lectures over 18 days, to initiate and/or enhance faculty awareness and expertise in the business, academic, and cultural world of sub-Saharan Africa. Business highlights include visits to Coca-Cola, AIDS research, South African Breweries (SAB Miller), Stock Exchange, Vodacom, Micro-Finance, Standard Bank, Eikendal Vineyards, Tea Plantation, and Gold Mine visits. All international airfare costs, as well as all hotel and lodging costs - to include the pre-Africa trip orientation in Atlanta, GA on 10-11 May 2008 - are included in the program fee. Group round-trip travel will be conducted from Atlanta to Joburg via Amsterdam.
